Chris Turner is an American contractor living in Afghanistan who held off militant attackers of a United Nations guest house in Kabul, Afghanistan on October 28, 2009. Turner, who owns a trucking business which contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense, opened fire at his assailants with an AK-47, protecting a group of 25 people hiding in a laundry room in the guest house.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack, in which eleven people died.
