Chris Turner is an American contractor living in Afghanistan who held off militant attackers of a United Nations guest house in Kabul, Afghanistan on October 28, 2009. Turner, who owns a trucking business which contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense, opened fire at his assailants with an AK-47, protecting a group of 25 people hiding in a laundry room in the guest house.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack, in which eleven people died. About 40 people were at the guest house during the attack, most of which were U.N. election workers in Kabult to monitor the Afghanistan elections.http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-world/20091028/AS.Afghanistan.American.Contractor/
