Chris Rock is a widely recognized American comedian. From an early stint on Saturday Night Live, he went on to write and perform in numerous comedy specials and act in films such as Kevin Smith's Dogma and Lethal Weapon 4 with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. Rock has also created a television show based on his childhood called Everybody Hates Chris.
Brief Biography
Working the New York comedy circuit in the 1980s, Chris Rock was discovered by Eddie Murphy at a nightclub. Quickly moving up the ranks, Rock was cast on SNL alongside Chris Farley, David Spade, and Adam Sandler. Rock has since become one of the premiere stand up comedians in the country. In 2005, Time Magazine and Entertainment Weekly named him the funniest man in America. Off the heels of this success, he was invited to host the 2005 Academy Awards. Rock recently appeared in such films as: Bee Movie lending his voice, I Think I Love My Wife, Madagascar and The Longest Yard.
