Chris Mihm

  • Chris Mihm is a center for the Memphis Grizzlies in the National Basketball Association. Although he came out of college as a highly touted prospect, due to injuries Mihm has developed into a solid role player.

  • Early Life

    Christopher Steven Mihm was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on July 16, 1979. At Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, he would develop his basketball skills and would draw interest from major universities. He would go on to attend college at the University of Texas at Austin. Mihm established himself as an elite player at the college level and would be considered a top draft pick coming out of college.
  • Pro Career

    Chris Mihm was selected with the seventh pick in the 2000 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. He was then traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Jamal Crawford. He would develop into a solid, NBA role player, especially useful for his versatility at the center and power forward position. He would spend three years in Cleveland, then he would be traded to Boston Celtics then after one season he would be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers for Gary Payton and Rick Fox. During his stay with the Lakers, Mihm has been plagued by injuries, and his role on the team has deteriorated from one time starter, to bench player as a result.
