Canadian professional hockey player Chris Mason plays for the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League.
NHL Career
Mason was drafted 122nd overall in the 1995 NHL draft by the New Jersey Devils. He continued to play for his junior team, the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League, until June 27, 1997, when he signed with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Mason was assigned to the Ducks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. The Ducks sent Mason to the Nashville Predators on October 5, 1998. He made his NHL debut with the Predators that year and was again sent to the minors, where he played for the Milwaukee Admirals and the San Antonio Rampage. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Mason played in Norway for the Valerengen IF Oslo. He returned to the Predators after the lockout and earned the starting Goaltender|goaltender position in 2006. Mason was traded to the St. Louis Blues during the 2008 NHL Draft on June 20, 2008.
