    Before playing in the NFL, Kuper played college football at the University of North Dakota. He played in 48 games at both right guard and left tackle. Kuper was named an All-American and nominated for the Gene Upshaw Award, given to the top lineman in Division II college football.     Kuper made his professional debut with the Broncos in 2006, playing in a single game on special teams. He continued on special teams in 2007 before switching to right guard.
