Canadian National Hockey League player Chris Kelly usually acts as the center on the Ottawa Senators' third line, between Chris Neil and Antoine Vermette. Since becoming a full time member of the Senators' roster in 2005, Kelly has proved his strong offensive and defensive skills and has become an integral part of Ottawa's penalty kill.
NHL Career
Kelly was drafted by the Senators during the third round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2003-2004 season, during which he played four games.
After the 2004-2005 locked-out season, Kelly was a regular fixture in the Senators' lineup. After recording a career high of 38 points in 82 games during the 2006-2007 season, Kelly signed on for another year with the Senators at a salary of $1.2 million. In July of 2008, he is set to become an unrestricted free agent.
