Hope attended Rock Hill High School where he was named USA Today All-USA first-team and Parade All-American as senior.

Pro Career
He was originally selected by the Steelers in the third round (94th overall) in the 2002 NFL Draft. He played as free safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2002-2005, winning the 2005 Super Bowl XL championship against Seattle.
