Professional football cornerback Chris Gamble plays for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. On November 28, 2008, Gamble signed a six-year contract extension with the Panthers.
Football Career
Prior to joining the NFL, Gamble played college football with the Ohio State Buckeyes. He played at both cornerback and wide receiver, earning All-American and All-Big Ten honors during his three years with the Buckeyes, as well as the team MVP award in 2002.Official Site of the Carolina Panthers: Chris Gamble
After school, Gamble was selected 28th overall in the first round of the 2004 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers. Gamble made his professional debut that same year, starting in all 16 regular season games and recording 74 tackles and six interceptions. His performance set Panthers' team records for a rookie and he was selected as an All-Rookie by Pro Football Weekly. Gamble's success continued in 2005 when he set another team record for 157 interception return yards.
