Chris Duhon plays his part in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a point guard for the New York Knicks.
Duhon entered the league via the Chicago Bulls, during his time there he put up numbers fitting of a second round draft pick. After his four year contract was up, he agreed on a deal to play for the New York Knicks. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/duhonch01.html
It became obvious that due to Duhon's small 6-1', 185lb stature, he fit in well with the high pace offense of the Knicks. In his first year with the Knicks he more than doubled his points-per-game and became a serious assist threat in transition.http://www.nba.com/playerfile/chris_duhon/index.html
Despite a seemingly average career, Chris Duhon as actually achieved more than many basketball players.
Most recently he said the New York Knicks record for assists in a game with 22 against the Golden State Warriors during the 2008 season and won a national championship and Duke University in 2002.
Duhon looks to be the starting point guard on the New York Knicks for the foreseeable future, and if he can get some better players around him, he can easily become a face of the franchise.
Chris Duhon 2009-10 Season
In just his second season with the New York Knicks, Duhon's numbers began to slightly decline, but this is likely a result of fewer minutes brought on by the bad record the team put up (29-53) and lack of playoff contention.
His best game of last season came with a 114-107 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. Duhon put up 25 points and 10 assists and was the major reason for their big road victory.
Not long after he suffered a sprained ankle that kept him in and out of the line-up for a month and a half. Eventually he would only come to participate in 67/82 games during the 2009-2010 Knicks season.
Duhon's contract expired at the end of the season.
