  • Early Years

    Clark began his career in the Canadian junior leagues, in the Northeastern Junior Hockey League. Starting in 1994, Clark attended and played for Clarkson University for four seasons. That same year he was drafted 77th overall in the NHL draft by the Calgary Flames. After graduating college, he spent just over a season with the Saint John Flames in the American Hockey League, then made his NHL debut in 1999. He continued with the Calgary Flames through the 2003-2004 season, when they played in the Stanley Cup Finals, losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
  • Recent Years

    Following the NHL Lockout, Clark was traded to the Washington Capitals on August 4, 2005. He has since resigned with the Capitals three times, in 2005, 2006 and in 2007. Also in 2006, Clark was named captain of the Capitals, taking over for Jeff Halpern.
