Chris Claremont is an English novelist and comic book writer.
Career
Chris Claremont wrote a number of second-tier Marvel Comics titles before being assigned to take over Uncanny X-Men from Len Wein. Many elements of the three X-Men films can be traced to Claremont story arcs.
Claremont also worked for DC Comics, notably with his own Sovereign Seven series. He co-wrote, with George Lucas, a trilogy of novels based on the film Willow, and has contributed to George R. R. Martin's Wildcards anthology series.
