Christopher John Carpenter was born in Exeter, New Hampshire, on April 27, 1975. He attended Trinity High School. In 1993, Carpenter was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays with the 15th pick in the Major League Baseball amateur draft.Baseball-Reference.com: Chris Capenter
Pro Career
On May 12, 1997, Carpenter made his MLB debut with the Toronto Blue Jays. He spent several productive seasons with the Blue Jays, then in 2003, he signed with the St. Louis Cardinals.
