College Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, Baker played college football with the Michigan State Spartans in the NCAA. Starting in 47 consecutive games, he set school records for a tight end with 133 receptions, 1,705 yards and 13 touchdowns. Baker made his professional debut with the Jets in 2002, playing in 12 games. He continued with the Jets, playing all 16 regular season games in 2003 and 2004, before he was limited to just eight games in 2005 after suffering a broken leg.
