Chipotle Mexican Grill is a "fast casual" restaurant specializing in burritos and tacos. They make all of their dishes to order, and focus on cooking fresh and healthy fare, served up in minutes. They are often seen as a faster and less expensive alternative to full service restaurants, offering cuisine of a comparable quality with counter service in place of waitstaff and a more casual atmosphere. http://www.chipotle.com/
Chipotle Mexican Grill is named after the chipotle chile, which is essentially a smoked jalapeno pepper. The restaurant is famous for popularizing the oversized burrito. Since the portions are quite large, some customers choose to wrap up a portion of their meal to carry home and finish later.
Chipotle Mexican Grill
A Chipotle Mexican Grill customer quickly turns on her video camera to talk about how much she loves her food. She ordered tacos while her friend ordered a burrito bowl that appears to be a salad with some Mexican style ingredients. They are eating outdoors on the patio in a New York City location.

Chipotle Restaurant's Commitment to Sustainability
Chipotle prides itself on serving "food with integrity," and strives to use ingredients purchased from food producers who use sustainable practices. Their goal is to use foods that are "unprocessed, seasonal, family-farmed, sustainable, nutritious, naturally raised, added hormone free, organic, and artisanal." For example, their pork comes from pigs that are humanely raised in pastures (and not factory farmed), without the use of antibiotics or byproducts in the pig feed. The dairy that Chipotle uses does not come from cows that have been injected with bovine growth hormone (rBGH). Also, the beans served in the restaurants are organic and sustainably farmed.http://www.chipotle.com/#/flash/fwi_fare
