Chingy is a Rapper from St. Louis who, along with fellow rappers Nelly and Ludacris, has emerged from the growing southern Hip-Hop scene. Chingy released his debut album, Jackpot, on July 15, 2003. His hit songs from the album included "Right Thurr" and "Holidae Inn." His second album produced the hit song "Balla Baby."
Over the course of his career Chingy has worked with artists like Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Ludacris, Nick Cannon, I-20, Tity Boi, Houston, Nate Dogg, Lil Fate, Young Gunz, Amerie, J-Weav, Janet Jackson, Tyrese, Jason Weaver, Trina, Jermaine Dupri and Bobby Valentino.
In addition to his solo music career, Chingy owns and operated Slot-A-Lot Records. It was granted to him by Capital Records. Thus far he has signed artists like Young Spiffy, G.I.B., Ziggy Nina, M.C., Blackie and O.G..
