The Chinese Crested dog is a member of the toy dog group and is affectionate, energetic and playful. Chinese Crested dogs come in two breeds. There is the Chinese Crested that is hairless and the Chinese Crested Powderpuff which has hair.
Chinese crested breeds often win top prize at the World's Ugliest Dog Contest. Every winner since 2002 has been a variety of Chinese crested, including 2008's winner, Gus.
Health Problems
The chinese crested is considered a healthy breed, but they do suffer from certain health issues. The breed is often born with an incomplete set of teeth and can suffer from tooth decay if not properly treated.
