Chicken Curry

  • Chicken curry is chicken dish made with a curry sauce consisting of onions, black pepper, ginger, garlic, and tomatoes.
  • Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 boneless and skinless chicken breasts
    • Salt and black pepper
    • 1 large onion, diced
    • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
    • 1 tablespoon curry powder
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons masala, optional
    • 1/2 cup canned tomatoes, crushed
    • 3/4 cup chicken broth

  • How to Make Chicken Curry

    1. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium high heat.
    2. Place the chicken breasts in the pan and season liberally with salt and pepper.
    3. Cook chicken breasts for four to five minutes on each side, or until browned.
    4. Remove the chicken from pan and set aside. Reduce heat from medium high to low.
    5. Add onion and garlic and cook for five minutes, or until the onions are soft.
    6. Add curry, ginger and masala, if desired, and cook for one to two minutes.
    7. Add crushed tomatoes, chicken broth and browned chicken breasts. Bring to a boil.
    8. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    9. Serve and enjoy!
