History
Perhaps one of the greatest events in Chicago was the 1871 Chicago Fire. This became known as the Great Chicago Fire. The fire destroyed four square miles and killed hundreds of people. This is known to be one of the largest U.S. disasters of the 19th century. Many tales have surfaced as to how the fire started but no one really knows.
Game Time
Chicago was named the Best Sports City in the States by The Sporting News in 2006. Whether you are in the mood for baseball, basketball, football or hockey, Chicago has something to offer. Home to major sports arenas such as Soldier Field and Wrigley Field, sports fans travel from all over to visit.
