The Sox' uniforms, colors and logos have all changed markedly over the years. Their team colors started as navy and white in their early days. They added red trim in 1917, and in 1932 they shifted to a mostly red logo. They adopted a form of their current logo in 1951 and spent the 50s, 60s, and 70s alternating among navy, blue, and red logos and uniform colors. In 1976 they went to navy and white, wearing a distinctive broad collar and introducing a logo of a cartoon figure holding a bat. They wore red, navy, and white uniforms sometimes criticized for looking like pajamas through most of the 80s. In 1991, they adopted their current black, white and silver color scheme. They have worn slight variations of the same uniform ever since.http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/history/uniforms_logos.jsp
