First World Series in 88 Years
The best highlight in White Sox History came when they recorded the final out of a World Series sweep over the Houston Astros, winning the fall classic for the first time in 88 years. Rookie closer Bobby Jenks induced a chopper up the middle from Astros pinch hitter Orlando Palmeiro. The ball bounced over Jenks, and Sox shortstop Juan Uribe charged hard to grab it in front of second base and deliver a strike to first baseman Paul Konerko. The throw just beat the runner, earning Jenks a save and the White Sox a championship. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=3461473
