Chi McBride is an American television and film actor who only began acting at the age of 30. McBride starred as "Steven Harper" on the television show Boston Public (2000 to 2004), and as "Malcolm Jones" on The Nine (2006 to 2007). He also appeared in the films The Terminal and Let's Go To Prison. McBride currently stars as detective Emerson Cod on the ABC series, Pushing Daisies.
In 2008, McBride played the estranged father of Nick Cannon in the Sundance film American Son.
