Cheyenne Woods

Cheyenne Woods is a student at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Woods is the niece of professional golfer Tiger Woods. She has won 30 amateur golf titles and is now playing for the Wake Forest Demon Deacon's women's golf team.

Woods, who was golfing before she started kindergarten, stated that she plans to play professionally after she graduates college. She cites her uncle, Tiger Woods, as part of her motivation to work hard and "try to be like him."NPR: A Mean Golf Swing, And An Uncle Named Tiger

Early Years

Woods began playing golf as a young child, learning the game from her grandfather Earl Woods Sr. She competed in her first tournament when she was eight years old.NPR: A Mean Golf Swing, And An Uncle Named Tiger Continuing to compete in high school at the Xavier College Preperatory, Woods lettered in each of her prep years. She helped the team win Arizona 5A State Championships in 2006 and 2007 and was named the team's most valuable players three years.
