Cheye Calvo is the mayor of Berwyn Heights, Maryland. On July 30, 2008, police from the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office conducted a raid on his home after a box containing 32 pounds of marijuana addressed to his wife was allegedly delivered to his front door. The raid was conceived when a drug-sniffing dog in Arizona detected the marijuana in a shipping box bound for Calvo's home. The police in Calvo's hometown of Berwyn Heights were contacted and set up the raid. When Calvo brought the box inside, the police raided the home and shot and killed his two dogs.
