Stiles was arrested in October 2007, in Nevada, following a nationwide search related to a video tape found in the desert, featuring the sexual abuse of a toddler-aged girl. Images of the man, who was later identified as Stiles, were distributed to the media. The little girl in the video was later found, in 2009, at the age of 8. In February 2009, another young victim, who is 11 years old, testified in court and identified Stiles as the man she remembered as "Chedders" or "Chowder."
