A military AV-8B Harrier jet crashed in a wooded area of Havelock, North Carolina on December 29, 2008. According to the Marine Corp., the jet was returning to Cherry Point Air Station after a routine training exercise. 2008 Cherry Point Plane Crashes
An AV-8B Harrier jet crashed near North Carolina's Cherry Point Air Station in February of 2008. No one was injured in the February 2008 crash which occurred near Open Ground Farms.
