Early Life
Samb Chiekh Tidiane was born in Dakar, Senegal, on October 22, 1984. In 2006, Samb was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 51st pick in the NBA draft.Basketball-Reference.com: Cheik SambPro Career
After the draft, Samb was traded to the Detroit Pistons for Maurice Evans. Since being drafted, Samb has played mostly for the Pistons developmental team.
