Chefs vs. City is a reality show on the Food Network. It premiered on August 7, 2009, and airs every Friday night at 10:00 p.m. EST. The show features chefs Aaron Sanchez and Chris Cosentino competing in five food-related challenges each week against a team of two people in the food industry native to the city the competition is held.http://www.foodnetwork.com/chefs-vs-city/index.html
In each of the challenges, the chefs are required to complete a task unique to the city in which the competition is held, such as cooking a signature dish at a popular restaurant or eating a specific food. The successful completion of each challenge reveals a clue to where the next challenge takes place. At the end of the five challenges, the team that runs across the finish line first wins. Sanchez and Cosentino won five of the seven competitions during the first season.http://www.foodnetwork.com/chefs-vs-city/index.html

Reviews
"A more serious problem is that neither Sánchez nor Cosentino is particularly charismatic. What’s more, they lack chemistry as a team. Again, this could change over time. As we all know, sometimes the soufflé rises, and sometimes it doesn’t. This episode doesn’t inspire you to take another peek in the oven." -- Tom Conroy, Media Life Magazinehttp://www.medialifemagazine.com/artman2/publish/TV_Reviews_21/Chefs_vs_City_bland_to_the_taste.asp
"We kinda wish that the show would just fold its tents and sneak away quietly into the night, but Chefs vs. City is still in heavy rotation. And, in classic train-wreck fashion, we can't look away. (We're still checking our TiVo for the Chicago episode.) But please, Food Network execs, PLEASE don't waste these guys on any possible Season Two! They've got better fish to fry. Literally" - Meredith Brody, San Francisco Food Bloghttp://blogs.sfweekly.com/foodie/2009/10/sorry_chris_chefs_vs_city_is_a.php
"It's more like Chefs vs People Who Have Contracts With the Food Network. Yeah, it's all in good fun, but what a waste of Cosentino and Sanchez's talent." - Raphael Brion, TV Watchhttp://eater.com/archives/2010/04/16/chefs-vs-city-season-two.php
