Karolinska Institute studied the genetics of cheating by comparing voles (a mouse-like rodent) and men. The study discovered a gene variant (allele) present in cheating voles also was present in two out of every five men. The study's conclusions state that men who have the cheating allele were more prone to marital dysfunction and were also more likely to get divorced. Men with two copies of the allele were twice as likely as a man without the allele.WNBC: ... Cheating Genetics (September 3, 2008)
