  Travel blogger Rick Seaney offered one tip to booking cheap Christmas flights: fly outside the normal holiday travel period. Flying in on Christmas morning or flying out on New Year's Eve (or New Year's day), for example, can result in lower fees. Or flying a week before Christmas or a few days after New Year's may also be a cheap alternative.
