The Chausie is a hybrid of a domestic cat (often a purebred Abyssinian) and a wild Asian jungle cat.
Like several other specialty breeds, Chausie cats are intended to replicate the look of larger wild cats in a compact and tame package. Unlike the Bombay (sometimes called the Parlor Panther), the Chausie actually is partly wild, at least by lineage.
