Charlie Pace is a fictional character and is played by Dominic Monaghan, on the ABC series Lost. The show chronicles the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island. Charlie was born in 1979 and lived in Manchester, England.

When Charlie was a child, he was given a piano as a gift on Christmas, that’s when his career in music began. Later, Charlie and his brother Liam Started a band they named Driveshaft, and landed a record deal. Driveshaft quickly became very popular, though they were a one hit wonder band. Eventually, Charlie became addicted to heroin. As the band's fame began to slowly sink, Charlie sank further into his addiction. Driveshaft disbanded, and Charlie turned to theft to support his heroin addiction. Later Charlie went to Australia to persuade Liam to rejoin the band. Liam refused, and offered to help Charlie enter a rehabilitation program, but Charlie angrily declined and left to board a plane to Los Angeles the next day. On the plane, he goes into the bathroom to take some heroin , when the plane begins to crash and they land on the Island.

On the second day on the island, Charlie, Jack Shephard and Kate Austen search the island for the plane's cockpit, there he finds his stash of heroin. John Locke eventually discovers his addiction to heroin and convinces Charlie to give up his drugs in exchange for his guitar. While walking in the jungle Charlie and Sayid Jarrah happen upon a crashed plane carrying several Virgin Mary statues filled with heroin. Later, Sayid tells Charlie about a prisoner in the Hatch, "Henry Gale". They attempt to find the balloon that Henry said he crashed in. When they return to the Hatch, they reveal Henry to be a liar. Later In Sawyer's tent, Charlie discovers the remaining Virgin Mary statues, and throws them in the ocean. Desmond starts having visions of Charlie dying. When Jack announces his plan to contact the outside world, Charlie volunteers to swim down to the Looking Glass Station and switch off a device blocking transmissions to and from the island. Desmond goes with him. There he confronts two women who maintain the island. Mikhail shot the two women killing one and wounding the other. Desmond shoots Mikhail in the chest with a spear gun. Just as Charlie is able to make contact with Penelope Widmore, a mysteriously resurrected Mikhail throws a grenade and destroys the room's porthole. It begins to flood. To spare Desmond, Charlie locks the door. The last we see of Charlie he is floating away into the ocean.
