Charlie Manuel is the manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. A former major league outfielder, Manuel succeeded Larry Bowa as the Phillies manager following a 2004 season in which the Phillies failed to reach the playoffs.

Manuel was signed out of high school as an amateur free agent by the Minnesota Twins.
