Charles Wright is a retired professional wrestler who competed mainly in the WWE.
Wright's career peak happened in the WWE, where he debuted in 1992 as the voodoo master Papa Shango. In one infamous incident, he put a "curse" on the Ultimate Warrior, causing the popular wrestler to vomit backstage. After a brief departure, Wright returned to the WWE in 1995 as the "supreme fighting machine," Kama, working short feuds with The Undertaker and other top babyfaces.
When the WWE entered its "Attitude" era in the late 1990s, Wright took on the gimmick of a colorful pimp called "The Godfather," walking to the ring with several women he called the "Ho train." A former Intercontinental Champion, Wright was one of the most popular wrestlers at the time.
Wright retired in 2002, but makes sporadic appearances on WWE programming.
