A sex tape of former British Big Brother contestant Chanelle Hayes was leaked onto the internet in April of 2008. Just days after the video surfaced, a spokesperson for Hayes admitted the tape was released as a publicity stunt.

The timing of the tape leak was reportedly suspicious because it was leaked on the same day as the debut of Hayes' new VH1 reality show Wannabe Pop Star. Some were speculating that she may be the one that released the tape for publicity. Hayes also released her first single "I Want It" on May 12, 2008.-
