Champ Bailey is an American football cornerback who plays for the Denver Broncos in the National Football League.
Bailey injured his elbow during the final game of the 2008 season. Football Career
Bailey had a standout college football career with the Georgia Bulldogs and was selected for the Bronko Nagurski Award as the nation's top defensive player in 1998. He was selected seventh overall in the 1999 NFL draft by the Washington Redskins. He joined the Redskins that same year for his NFL debut and continued with the team for a total of five seasons. On March 4, 2004, Bailey was traded to the Denver Broncos. He led the team in interceptions, with eight, in 2005, which was also fourth in the AFC. He raised that mark in 2006, recording a career-best ten interceptions. -
