    Chamillionaire began his career in 1998 after pairing up with fellow Swishahouse rapper, Paul Wall. The two began appearing on underground mixtapes for Swishahouse and later for Paid in Full Records.

    Chamillionaire and Wall started their own group, The Color Changin' Click. They released their debut, Get Ya Mind Correct in 2002. The album reportedly sold over 100,000 copies and was named independent album of the year by the Source Magazine.

    He released his major label debut, The Sound of Revenge in 2005. The album's single, "Ridin'" received a Grammy for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group.
