Nickelback's lead singer, Chad Kroeger, was reportedly found guilty of drunk driving on April 1, 2008 by a Canadian judge. On June 22, 2006, Kroeger was caught speeding through a residential neighborhood in British Columbia and displaying erratic behavior. Police reported that Kroeger's eyes were red and glossy, and that he handed the officer a credit card when the officer asked him for his driver's license. Sources say that Kroeger blew a .14 on the breathalyzer test which is almost twice the legal limit.
Kroeger had to appear in court on May 1, 2008 for sentencing. He was banned from driving for a year and fined $588 for his crime of driving while intoxicated.
