  • NHL Career

    Kilger was drafted fourth overall in the 1995 NHL Draft by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. After playing 45 games with the Ducks, Kilger was traded to the Winnipeg Jets on February 7, 1996. Kilger relocated with the Jets as they became the Phoenix Coyotes, and was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks on March 4, 1998. He played with the Blackhawks for just short of one year before being traded to the Edmonton Oilers on March 20, 1999. Kilger then went to the Montreal Canadiens on December 18, 2000, where he played for over three seasons. The Canadiens eventually waived Kilger and he was claimed by the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 9, 2004. He re-signed with the Maple Leafs in 2006 and was traded to the Florida Panthers on February 26, 2008. Kilger, however, did not report to the Panthers as scheduled and was suspended without pay.
