  • Professional football quarterback Chad Henne plays for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League. Henne played college football for the Michigan Wolverines from 2004 to 2008.

    In March of 2009, The Miami Herald reported that the Dolphins were preparing Henne to succeed Chad Pennington as the team's starting quarterback for the 2010 season.   • High School Star

    Growing up in West Lawn, Pennsylvania, Henne attended Wilson High School where he received numerous honors. Henne was named first team all-state by the Associated Press as a senior, three time first team All-Berks County Quarterback selection, All-Berks/Lancaster Lebanon Offensive Back, second team All-State honors as a junior, and Parade magazine All-American as a senior. Following his high school career Henne played in the U.S Army All-American Bowl.
  • Leading The Michigan Wolverines

    Henne started as quarterback his freshman season at Michigan, becoming the first to do so since Rich Leach in 1975. Henne led the team to the 2005 Rose Bowl losing to Texas Longhorns 38-37. The 2005 season started with a three wins and three loss record before winning the final four games and heading to the Alamo Bowl only to lose against Nebraska Cornhuskers 32-28. Henne led the Wolverines to an 11-0 record in 2006 and a Rose Bowl appearance against USC, losing 32-18. His senior season was marked by injuries. Missing two games, Henne came back to lead the Wolverines to the Capital One Bowl victory over the Florida Gators.
  • National Praise

    Henne finished his college career with the second most touchdown passes in Big Ten history. Acknowledged for his accomplishments in 2006, he was a Manning Award, a Maxwell Award and a Davey O'Brien Award semifinalist. In 2008, following his senior season, Henne was named Capital One Bowl MVP and Senior Bowl North Offensive MVP.
