Certain Girls is the follow-up to Jennifer Weiner's debut novel, Good in Bed. Twelve years after the events in Good in Bed, the books heroine, Cannie Shapiro, is laying low and writing science fiction under a pseudonym. She's had enough of the big life, and has put her former success, her major hit life story, behind her. Normal isn't as easy as it seems. Her daughter Joy seems to want nothing more than to argue with her at ever turn.
