Man found hung in tree
Federal and State law enforcement officials investigated the case of a hanged census worker and found the death was the result of suicide. 51-year-old Bill Sparkman was found hanging from a tree near a cemetery on September 12, 2009 with the word FED scrawled in his chest. His hands and feet were bound by duct tape, as was his mouth. Mr. Sparkman was located in a remote area of Daniel Boone National Forrest in rural Clay County Kentucky.
