On May 10, 2009, Joan Rivers was named the winner of the second season of Celebrity Apprentice. She and celebrity poker player Annie Duke were the final two competitors on the program. Rivers' daughter, Melissa, was eliminated from the final five two episodes before the season finale.

On March 28, 2008, British author, editor, and television personality Piers Morgan was selected as the winner of Season One of the show, Celebrity Apprentice. Morgan and country music singer-songwriter Trace Adkins were the final two contestants on the program, and their final challenge was to organize and execute a fund-raising event that included a charity auction and a performance by the musical group, the Backstreet Boys.
