A ceiling fan is a large fan that hangs the ceiling and spins to move the air in the room. These fans often are combined with some light fixture as the placement on the ceiling blocks a light fixture from being placed there.
Buying Guide
Purchasing a ceiling fan can significantly cut down on the cost of cooling or heating a home. There are plenty of colors, styles and sizes to choose from. Many fans feature remote control, light fixtures and reverse switches, which allow the fan to spin in the opposite direction. Choose the desired features and then based on the room measurements select a size.
Sizing Tips
- For rooms smaller than 50 square feet, select a fan 30 inches wide.
