American actor and comedian Cedric the Entertainer has appeared on the TV series The Steve Harvey Show and various films from animation to drama.

Prior to his comedy and acting career, Cedric graduated from Southeast Missouri State University then spent a short amount of time working in the insurance industry. He began his mainstream stand-up comedy career in the early 1990s, appearing on It's Showtime at the Apollo and Def Comedy Jam. He then appeared in 16 episodes of The Steve Harvey Show from 1996 to 2002. Cedric made his move to film, acting in several films and lending his voice to animated movies and video games as well.
