Cedric Simmons was born in Shallotte, North Carolina on January 3, 1986. Simmons attended West Brunswick high school in North Carolina. He continued his education at North Carolina State University. Pro Career
In his first season in the National Basketball Association, Simmons played in 43 games for the Hornets. In 2007, Simmons was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers for David Wesley.
