After Survivor jury members who are voted out, they are whisked away to a camp called Ponderosa. CBS has allowed fans to see what happens behind the scenes as jury members enter the camp and readjust to life in the real world. Jury members will stay at Ponderosa until the last episode and then be flown via helicopter back to every tribal council to get a glimpse at what is happening with the contestants still in play. While at Ponderosa, contestants inquire about gameplay, which many times can turn the final outcome of the game, as the contestants at Ponderosa vote on who will win the season and take home the cash prize. When contestants first arrive, they are checked over by medical staff, and fed what may be their first "real" meal in days, or weeks. Sometimes, the group takes expeditions to exotic locations. While at camp, they have access to catered meals, alcoholic beverages, individual rooms with their own bed, video games, medical supplies, toilet paper and more.
The next season of Survivor will take place in Nicaragua and is scheduled to air in the fall of 2010 on CBS with a new timeslot, Wednesdays instead of Thursdays.
