Cathy Moriarty

American actress Cathy Moriarty earned an Academy Award nomination of Best Supporting Actress for her role in Raging Bull. She was also cast in the short lived television CBS sitcom Bless this House with Andrew Dice Clay. Some of her other films include Casper Kindergarden Cop and Analyze That. Moriarty's most recent appearance was as guest on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2005. She is currently a co-owner of three Mulberry Street Pizza restaurants in Los Angeles.

Moriarty began her career acting in local theater. She was typecast early for being the motherly villain. Her career was put in hiatus as a car accident in 1982 lead to 6 year absence from the screen after back surgery and emotional problems.
