Catherine Tate is an English actress and comedian. She was born on May 12, 1968 in Bloomsbury, England. She was raised by her mother, Josephine, who is a florist. She became interested in acting as a teenager and later attended the Central School of Speech and Drama. Tate is romantically linked to stage manager Twig Clark. The couple has a daughter together named Erin. They currently live in Mortlake, London.

Acting Career
Tate's early works include roles on The Bill and Casualty. She appeared in the comedy shows The Harry Hill Show, Barking and That Peter Kay Thing. From there, she went on to play in Big Train, Attention Scum and TVGoHome. In 2004, she began starring in BBC's The Catherine Tate Show. Her more recent works include Bleak House, Love and Other Disasters, Starter for Ten, Sixty Six, Scenes of a Sexual Nature , Doctor Who, The Bad Mother's Handbook and Mrs Ratcliffe's Revolution.
