Catherine Banner is a new author from the U.K. who is being hailed as the new J.K. Rowling. Her first book, The Eyes of a King was published in June of 2008.

Catherine Banner has enjoyed reading since a very early age. One of her the first books that attracted her was C.S. Lewis' The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.

She began writing The Eyes of a King when she was only 14 years old. Since she was still in school at the time, she used any available moment to write down notes or story lines, and wrote before and after school. She has found that she writes best late at night.

After finishing her classes, she spent the next year writing full time. This has allowed her to complete the second book in her trilogy. As for the future, she says she plans to go to university and complete the third book there.
